Haspa is a member of the Hamburg-based Hanseatic Savings Bank Association (HSGV) and the Bremen-based Registered Association of Independent German Public Savings Banks. Through HSGV it is affiliated with the German Savings Banks Association in Berlin and Bonn.
Therefore it is fully included in the comprehensive guarantee system of all German savings banks. This guarantee system for financial institutions works on the principle of banking security. Therefore not only certain deposits are secured but the savings bank in total. In this way, all customer deposits, securities issued by the Bank and the corresponding interest are automatically protected without limitation.
